Thunder Beat Bulls 5-1 on Kids Take Over
The tension from the Friday and Saturday night games is making this one pretty brutal. Within the first 3:20 if the first period there was two fights. The first fight was between Kris Belan and Garet Hunt and the second between Steven Tarasuk and Landon Oslanski. Between the two fights was a goal for the Stockton made by Matt Bergland with an assist going to Shawn Boutin.
Center James Henry scored second goal in the first period to give the Thunder 2-0 lead as Ben Rosen earned a helper on the play.
The second goal in the first period was made by James Henry with an assist going to Matt Bergland giving the Thunder a 2-0 lead. Within 2:18 of the second goal, defenseman Mike Dalhuisen scored the third goal for Stockton with help from James Henry and Matt Bergland. This goal gave Matt Bergland 3 points in the first period.
With 2:01 left in the period, Nick Larson scored the last goal of the period with an assist going to Ben Rosen.
After four goals for the Stockton Thunder, Tyler Beskorowany was taken out and J.P. Anderson then became goalie for the Bulls.
In the second period, San Francisco scored the only goal made by Tyler Gron with a assist going to Adrian Foster. Gron’s goal was the only one given up by Milner as he ended the night with 31 saves.
“It was at the end of the period so I had some time to regroup and it certainly helped to have such a big lead at the time,” said Milner.
In the Third period the Thunder once again found a way to get the puck past San Francisco goaltender J.P. Anderson.
The next Home game is Friday, January 3rd against the San Francisco Bulls. For the first time, Thunder Players will skate on ice that was painted by kids after tonight’s game.
