The Thunder is looking for dependable and enthusiastic fans to join our “Street Team.” Street Team members are needed to get the word out about this upcoming hockey season by distributing promotional materials (pocket schedules, posters, etc.) to local businesses.

Game Day Positions Available:
Employees must be at least 16 years of age (under 18 must provide work permit), and be available for a majority of game dates throughout the season. Games are scheduled for nights and weekends and currently extend until early April. Interested applicants should contact dconner@stocktonthunder.com
Concourse Sales
The Stockton Thunder are seeking outgoing, responsible staff to join their game night concourse sales staff. Employees in this position will sell various items to fans at Stockton Thunder games. Period is for the 2007-2008 season. Must be able to work 3 to 4 hours per night and be available for a majority of the games, scheduled for nights and weekends.
Regular contact with Stockton Thunder fan base is a basic element of the job. Employees must communicate with fans and demonstrate excellent customer service skills and basic math skills.
Storm Squad
The Stockton Thunder are seeking outgoing, responsible staff to join their game night promotions crew. Employees will assist in various activities during Thunder game nights at Stockton Arena. Period is for the 2007-2008 season. Must be able to work approximately 4 hours per night and may require lifting and physical activity.
Responsibilities vary each night and may include:
- Set up, execution and break down of all game-night promotions
- Hand out giveaway items before and/or after games
- Execute sponsored promotions during game breaks
- Manning group information booth
- Assist with other tasks as required
- Always remaining pleasant and personable while relating with fans
- Must be willing to exude a fun attitude and work in front of crowds of up to 10,000 fans.
Current Internships Available:
Communications/Public Relations Intern
Stockton Thunder Hockey and Stockton Lightning Arena Football
This is a minimum 20 hour per week position with the Communications Department of the Stockton Thunder and Stockton Lightning. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Assist in writing press releases notifying the media and general public of team news, community events and initiatives, etc.
- Assist in providing content and research for weekly game notes and game day magazines.
- Assist with proposing and writing stories for team websites and publications.
- Maintaining and compiling team library of press clippings.
- Assist with statistics and record keeping.
- Assist with facilitating interviews with player and coaches.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current student or recent graduate in communications, sports management, business, or similar course of study.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Additional experience with Adobe-based graphic programs is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfortable working on multiple projects with strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.

Corporate Sales Intern
Stockton Thunder Hockey and Stockton Lightning Arena Football
The Stockton Thunder is looking for a Corporate Sales Intern to provide marketing support to Corporate Sales and Business Development staff in the creation of sales tools to support sponsorship sales efforts. Assist with creating and preparing sales presentations and contracts. Update and maintain collateral tracking system for sponsor programs and sponsor review books. Assist with game-night sponsor hospitality events and promotions and other game night sponsor needs. Assist with sponsor communication regarding ad materials, specs and logos. Assist and monitor execution of in-arena sponsored elements.
Each candidate MUST be eligible to receive course credit toward their degree for the successful completion of such internship. All internships are non-compensated.
All candidates are required to have excellent communications and organizational skills, great computer skills as well as a serious interest in the field of the internship for which you would like to be considered.
