"Do the Thunder have any plans of having an alternate 3rd jersey next year?"
Joey
Elk Grove, Ca
We definitly will be looking to add an official "Third" jersey to the mix in the coming years but unfortunately it will not be this season. However, with the success of Thunder Goes Pink, the pink specialty jerseys have already become a third jersey of sorts for the Thunder that we are quite proud of

"Now that the Springfield Falcons have aquired Kelly Czuy, and Las Vegas still has him listed as a protected player, is there any chance we might see him in a Thunder uniform this season??? What do you know?"
Carla
Stockton, Ca
Unfortunately, no, unless the Thunder (in theory) would swing a trade with Las Vegas to acquire his ECHL rights. It's a unique situation since Las Vegas protected his ECHL rights after he played last season under an ECHL contract.

"Is Adam Huxley coming back to play this year?"
Emily
Lodi, Ca
Emily,
We've been getting a lot of these requests lately - no surprise that Adam remains one of the most popular players in Thunder history based on his toughness! To best answer it, Adam most likely will get a solid look in Edmonton or Springfield training camp this year for another shot to move up the NHL ladder. Whether he returns in a Thunder uniform or not is based on available roster spots for him at a higher level, since the Thunder own his ECHL contract rights. His toughness is always a welcome addition to the club but we're always rooting for players to take a step closer to achieving their dream of playing in the NHL!

"On EuroHockey.net, I noticed Brian Lee is a confirmed "transfer" to the Briancon Alpes Provence Hockey Club in France. Since he was on our protected list, can someone from the Thunder confirm this?"
Jimmi Lovett
Lathrop, CA
The Thunder organization has received confirmation that Brian Lee is going overseas for the 2008-09 season, but he was issued a qualifying offer in order to retain his ECHL rights for this next season. Like any other player who goes overseas, Brian has a right to back out of his contract and return to North America in the same season. If he does that, the Thunder will still have the first right-of-refusal if it's best fit to sign him to another contract. Thanks for your question!

"Which of the Edmonton Oilers draft picks, if any will be playing in Stockton? This year or how many years down the road?"
Chris Roso
Modesto, CA
NHL teams typically don't determine where prospects will wind up until the end of September. It's almost impossible to project past a year in advance as to where a prospect will be playing, becuase if a player has developed rapidly in a calendar year (Oilers super-rookie Andrew Cogliano is an example) before he is eligible to turn pro, then the NHL club may find him ready for action in the big leagues. Other big-ticket prospects like Devan Dubnyk, Ryan O'Marra, etc. may need at least a year of seasoning in the minor leagues before they are ready in the NHL and that's where the Thunder or Springfield comes into play. Also, players that are signed by NHL teams to AHL contracts (Brad Farynuk, Jacob Micflikier, for instance) are likely to show up in Stockton and AHL teams are already hard at work, locking up those players.
There's no direct number the Oilers have determined of how many prospects will play in Stockton next season, but there hasn't been any indication the number will be drastically different from the average of 5-7 prospects that have graced the Thunder roster in the past. Stay tuned to the Thunder website to see who's coming!
