In keeping with the spirit and tradition of awareness, education and fundraising, the Thunder are proud to announce the third annual “Hockey with Heart”!

On February 1st, 2014, the Thunder will host the Colorado Eagles to promote “National Wear Red Day” and to kickoff the “Go Red for Women” movement and “American Heart Month”. Event proceeds will benefit the American Heart Association.

The first 1,000 adults 18 years and older who enter Stockton Arena will not only receive a red Hockey with Heart Thunder shirt, but also the “Go Red Passport Card” that could potentially win you prizes! Visit each sponsor table located throughout the Arena and get your Go Red Passport Card stamped on each logo. Drop your completed Passport Card off at the Go Red Prize Table for your chance to win a number of different prizes.

The event will be followed by a blood and bone marrow drive on February 13th from noon to 7 p.m. hosted by SMG-Stockton and Stockton Arena on behalf of BloodSource. Every participant in the drive will receive a voucher to a future Thunder home game.

Make sure your Heart Walk team is signed up to begin fundraising! Last season, the Thunder worked with many different Heart Walk Teams throughout Stanislaus and San Joaquin Counties. These teams combined were able to raise $600+ to kick-start their fundraising efforts!

The Stockton Thunder Fundraisers are a great way to have a fun night out and raise money for a great cause. Our fundraisers work by providing your team with fliers, posters, and other materials to help you sell tickets to a specific game. For every ticket your team sells, we donate $3 per ticket sold. Plus we’ll be sure that your team is recognized for being in attendance on our video board, and everyone who comes out through your fundraiser group will be entered into a raffle to win a prize at the game.
