Bio:Entering his 15th season in the ECHL and third in Stockton, Mark Burgess serves the Thunder as the teams Head Equipment Manager and serves an identical role with the arenafootball2 leagues Stockton Lightning. In addition to handling equipment duties, Burgess also acts as the main liaison to all team-related travel and housing services for the hockey and arena football teams.
Prior to joining the Thunder, Burgess veteran ECHL experience spanned the Greenville Grrrowl, Baton Rouge Kingfish, Charlotte Checkers and Huntington Blizzard, beginning his professional tenure in 1993. Additionally, Burgess branched into the Roller Hockey International league, where he was also a part of the 1997 World Champion Anaheim Bullfrogs team.
A Santa Cruz native and Aptos High graduate, Burgess played youth hockey in the San Jose and Burlingame areas, before advancing to a college hockey-playing career at Erie Community College in Buffalo, New York. Burgess transferred to Santa Rosa Junior College (Calif.) where he received his degree.
Mark currently lives in Stockton and has a nine-year old daughter Madison, who resides in Davis, California.
